Hi all! I dropped off some basics today to get a start on an electronics bench in the 3d printing room. I have some more stuff to bring over (tomorrow maybe?) but there is an iron, power supply, scope and multimeter plus misc tools and some wire etc available now for anyone itching to dive into a project!
I’ll bring some more components etc over soon, and may even do a little tinkering on a project this week lol, but I just wanted to give a heads up!

It looks great, I was just looking around the studio last night admiring all the work! I have a few more pieces of lab equipment I will probably drop off this week as well. And I might have another workbench I can grab too

I dropped off a few more component boxes and some heatshrink tubing etc – all with the rest in the big cabinet by the door! I have a couple component drawer … things (what are they called) like the little one on the bench I can bring over too.
(I also left a little box with some personal projects on the bottom shelf by the 3d printers but I’ll squirrel that away in my locker when we get those set up!)
Since we noticed the digital caliper was acting a little weird last night I stopped by today with a fresh battery and that was all it took to get it working great again.
I dropped off an ender 3 xl unit the other day with a bunch of filament. I think I have all the parts for the machine but I can’t find the little USB stick it came with, not sure if it’s necessary or if it just held the pattern files.
It’s all there for whom ever wants to “play” with it. I’m trying to make a little 4" binding of issac character… just gotta find the usb. Until I do, it’s there for anyone.
Some of the filament is glow in the dark so make sure you take it from general population if you have any sort of reclaim plans. Otherwise, enjoy!

I’m at the space this morning a bit early to beat the heat and will try to do a little bit of organizing. The parts shelf Chuck donated looks great all assembled! I have some more component drawers I can bring for little stuff too.
@KathyC awesome! I think I might have one of those little USB deals at home I can bring over next time, too. I’m still figuring out how to transport my printer to the space safely but I have one I can donate as well.
I’m mostly thumbs with the 3d printer, but I’d like to learn more. What do folks like to use software-wise? I’ve only really tried out OpenSCAD for modeling.
I had good luck with a couple 3D prints on the Ender-3 Max. I leveled the bed and cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. I was able to do a 4" tall tower with no problem. The shelves are a bit too narrow for it so it wobbles a bit, so having a table for it that is at least 24" deep would be helpful (particularly if it’s desk height). It had everything needed including a micro SD card I threw my test prints on.
That’s amazing!! I’m so glad it was all down to me being a timid newbie operator! 
I’m also super excited to learn how to use it myself, and see what other amazing things people make with it.
We need a glow in the dark ‘3D LAB’ block letter print… or something. I want to see all the colors lol.
I’m busy focusing on getting the fabric and glass studios operational so I’m short timing myself of electronics and ceramics, sadly.
