For me, I’m Mark!
A little about you: I’m serving as president of the makerspace, and have been working on the space as a full time volunteer. Before this, I spent 20 years in technology, most recently serving as a CTO for five years for a legal tech startup
Areas of interest: Woodworking, business incubator
What you’re excited about: Getting our first cohort of people starting a small business who want to learn how to get off the ground. Also, really excited to connect with all the makers in the area!
I am Nicole and work at a feed testing lab. I have been learning to sew so I’m excited for the opportunity to work on those skills. Otherwise I hope there will be lots of classes so I can learn new skills.
Hi Nicole! One of the free classes we plan to offer is how to sew and mend, thanks to a grant we got from Winona Community Foundation. I’ll post about it once we have the date and instructor set. What does feed testing lab work look like?
Hello, my name is Robert aka Dr. Bob. I am a local puppeteer, artist and entrepreneur. Looking forward to sharing a space with other creatives and hopefully launch a new business.
Hi, my name is Terri. I am a (mostly retired) graphic designer … still doing some contract design work but exploring other art forms in my “free” time. (Free is relative … when I’m not taking classes in printmaking, watercolor, suminagashi, collage … I enjoy having the opportunity to learn, practice, and play!) I have also dabbled in ceramics and am excited about the Makerspace as a place to further my explorations and connect with other artists.
That’s great! I will be looking forward to that class. We test feed for dairy cows, everything from nutrient composition to mycotoxins or molds to water. My days are usually some lab work, customer support, data analysis, and working on new products.
