I’ve been scouring the internet trying to find some good solutions for a website for a member portal. Not member/donation management (CiviCRM does decent enough), but a place for members to:
- View/Update their membership
- Deactivate badges
- See past/upcoming classes
- access documentation resources for the space
- rent tools from community tool library
- Reserve conference rooms and view calendars
- Report broken items, incidents
- Buy items (clay, filament, day passes)
- Single login for Talk, wireless, etc.
There are some solutions on the market for makerspaces or coworking that cover some of the use cases, but never that close. Ideally would love to find a platform that handles the security/users and is regularly updated, but allows us to add plugins or microservices that would let us handle the special pieces we need.
Few options came out that have open source/community licenses:

I’m going to try spinning up HumHub on a test server and see what that’s like. Would love to get some pros/cons from people of these tools, or find what else is out there. I do NOT want us to roll out a 100% homebuilt app where we’d have to build all the basics of user management, editing, etc.
If we can’t find something, I’m sure we could stack enough plugins in Shopify to make it happen (for a price).
